Millivolt: Millivolt models feature a standing pilot that you light at the beginning of each heating season using the pushbutton Piezo igniter. Millivolt systems require no electric or battery backup. The systems work with any of our optional remote control accessories – from simple wall switches to thermostats to hand-held programmable remotes.
IP: Intermittent Pilot models eliminate the standing pilot for even greater energy savings. IP requires 120V AC to operate on a daily basis but can run on battery backup to provide heat during a power outage. IP technology works with any of our remotes.

Flame Authority

Beautiful Mantel

The mantel required a little bit of sanding and prep before painting, but was good quality. Flame Authority did an excellent job shipping and it arrived by freight in perfect condition.

The mantel assembled well. I ended up using some construction adhesive to glue the legs on to make it a little more sturdy. I cut pocket holes in the top to attach it to the wall.
