The vent-free contour burner available for Flint Hill includes three valve options:

• VFDM - Manual (No Remote Available) - operates manually with off/pilot/3 position heat setting knob; Cannot be used with wall thermostats or remotes
• VFDR - Millivolt (Remote Available, Not Included) - uses Piezo Ignitor Button - Remote-Ready (Available Remotes / Thermostats in Options & Accessories - sold separately)
• VFDT - Thermostat (Knob Control, No Remote Available) - uses Piezo Ignitor Button; Five Position Manual Hi/Lo Thermostat Dial; Cannot be used with wall thermostats or remotes. 

Both the Millivolt (VFDR) and Manual (VFDM) models can also be used in Vented Applications without heat. When installed for vented use, it can only be used as a decorative appliance and cannot be used with a thermostat. The fireplace damper must be blocked partially open (damper clamp included) and cannot be operated with a thermostat.
