        The mantel required a little bit of sanding and prep before painting, but was good quality. Flame Authority did an excellent job shipping and it arrived by freight in perfect condition.

        The mantel assembled well. I ended up using some construction adhesive to glue the legs on to make it a little more sturdy. I cut pocket holes in the top to attach it to the wall.

        Great heating stove

        I bought the stove couple weeks ago and ended up having a chance running it a few days I am very pleased with the outcome of the amount of heat it gets out also with the amount of hours it burns at least eight hours. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for hours of heat output. At first when I bought it I didn’t quite know if mine hopes will be for filled but now they are happy with it. I would recommend this to anyone as a trusted tester of it I am very pleased of the outcome it rains.!

        I have been through a few wood inserts in past homes, and this time I decided to do everything right from the start which included installing this fresh air intake kit. It’s built specifically for the Everest II and fits perfectly. The flexible pipe is easy to route and insulates well. The install did not require any custom modifications, which was a plus. Most importantly, the stove now runs exactly as it should even, efficient burns, and no interference with other ventilation systems. 10/10 for both build and performance.

        You realize how much better everything works

        After installing the Osburn Everest II wood fireplace, I knew I wanted to set it up for maximum efficiency and safe performance. We live in a newer, well-sealed home, so combustion air supply was something I needed to address. This fresh air intake kit (AC01239) made that incredibly easy. The components felt solid and well-constructed, and the flexible pipe was easy to run through our crawl space to an exterior wall. Since installing it, the fire burns more evenly and lights faster, and we have had zero smoke backdrafts. The unit feels like it's breathing properly now. It’s one of those things that you might not think you need, but once it is in, you realize how much better everything works.

        Definitely a worthwhile addition

        Our fireplace installer highly recommended this intake kit when we purchased the Everest II unit. At first I was skeptical. I figured the insert would be fine without it. But I am glad I listened. This kit does more than just bring in outside air; it creates a much more controlled burn. The flames are more even, the glass stays cleaner, and it seems to help reduce creosote buildup in the flue. I also appreciate how it helps maintain indoor air pressure. During the colder months, it was particularly helpful

        Worry-free since install

        We live in a rural area where heating with wood is essential, and our Osburn Everest II fireplace is our main source of heat. The fresh air intake kit has helped the unit burn more efficiently by supplying a consistent source of oxygen. Especially during cold snaps, we’ve noticed a steadier flame and less need to open the door for relighting. The kit feels sturdy, the seals are tight, and it’s been worry-free since install. I wouldn’t run a modern wood fireplace without one. Especially in a well-insulated home like ours.
