What Is the Summerset TRL Pro 32?
The Summerset TRL Pro 32 is a 32-inch built-in outdoor gas grill with three cast stainless steel main burners, a rear infrared burner, heat-zone separators, interior cooking lights, LED control lighting, a rotisserie system, and 692.01 square inches of total cooking area. It is offered as the TRLPRO32 for natural gas and the TRLPRO32L for liquid propane.
Why Choose the Summerset TRL Pro 32?
75,000 BTUs of Total Cooking Power
Three main burners produce 20,000 BTUs each, delivering 60,000 BTUs across the primary grilling area. A separate 15,000 BTU infrared rear burner raises total output to 75,000 BTUs and supports dedicated rotisserie cooking.
Commercial-Grade Cooking Configuration
The grill combines cast stainless steel burners, thick stainless steel grates, independent heat zones, a rear infrared burner, and a briquette system. This configuration supports direct grilling, indirect cooking, roasting, and rotisserie preparation.
Built for Permanent Outdoor Kitchens
The TRL Pro 32 is designed for installation in a properly ventilated, non-combustible outdoor kitchen island. It may also be used with a compatible Summerset grill cart when a freestanding installation is preferred.
Enhanced Visibility After Dark
Interior halogen lights illuminate the cooking surface, while LED pin lighting and illuminated control bezels improve control visibility during evening cooking.
Commercial-Grade Grilling Performance
Three 20,000 BTU Main Burners
The TRL Pro 32 uses three cast stainless steel main burners, each rated at 20,000 BTUs. Together, they provide 60,000 BTUs across the main cooking area for preheating, high-temperature grilling, and multi-zone cooking.
The manufacturer recommends preheating the grill with all main burners operating and the hood closed for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. The hood thermometer should reach approximately 450°F before adjusting individual burners for cooking.
15,000 BTU Infrared Rear Burner
A dedicated 15,000 BTU infrared burner is positioned at the rear of the grill. It provides concentrated radiant heat for rotisserie cooking and can help produce even browning while food rotates above the main cooking surface.
The rear burner operates independently from the three primary burners, allowing the cooking setup to be adapted for different recipes and cooking methods.
Heat-Zone Separators
Two heat-zone separators divide the grilling chamber into more manageable temperature areas. This makes it easier to cook different foods simultaneously, such as searing meat over higher heat while preparing vegetables or delicate foods at a lower setting.
Easy-Clean Briquette System
The briquette system sits between the burners and cooking grates. It helps distribute heat across the cooking surface and shields the burners from direct food drippings. The removable trays can be accessed during routine grill cleaning.
Cooking Area and Grate Construction
The TRL Pro 32 provides 692.01 square inches of total cooking surface, including a 157.41-square-inch warming rack. The primary cooking area is approximately 534.6 square inches.
Three 8 mm square stainless steel cooking grates create a durable surface for everyday outdoor cooking. Their substantial construction supports heat retention while providing defined grill marks.

Interior and Exterior Grill Lighting
Halogen Cooking Lights
Built-in halogen lights illuminate the interior grilling area. This provides improved visibility when checking food, managing cooking zones, or using the grill after sunset.
LED Pin Lighting
Exterior LED pin lights illuminate the control panel for easier operation in low-light environments.
White-to-Red Burner Bezels
The illuminated control bezels change from white to red when a burner knob is placed in the on position. This provides a visible control-state indicator.
The illuminated bezel should not be used as the only confirmation that a burner has ignited. Burner ignition must always be verified by directly observing the flame.
Electrical Requirement
Electrical power is required to operate the interior halogen lights and exterior LED lighting. The transformer must be connected to a properly grounded electrical outlet that complies with applicable local electrical requirements.
Premium Stainless Steel Construction
#304 Stainless Steel Exterior
The TRL Pro 32 is constructed from #304 stainless steel for a clean, professional appearance and resistance to outdoor exposure when properly maintained.
Stainless steel still requires routine cleaning. Moisture, salt air, pool chemicals, construction dust, grease, and other contaminants can create surface staining or corrosion if they remain on the grill.
Double-Lined Spring-Assisted Hood
The double-lined hood helps contain heat within the cooking chamber. Spring assistance makes the hood easier to raise and lower during operation.
Built-In Temperature Gauge
A temperature gauge is positioned in the hood to help monitor the internal cooking-chamber temperature during preheating, roasting, and closed-hood cooking.
Full-Length Drip Tray
A removable full-length drip tray collects grease and cooking residue beneath the grill. Routine cleaning helps reduce buildup and supports safer, more consistent operation.
Who Is the TRL Pro 32 Best For?
The Summerset TRL Pro 32 is well suited for:
Permanent outdoor kitchen and BBQ island installations
Homeowners who frequently entertain outdoors
Outdoor cooks who want separate direct and indirect cooking zones
Users interested in rotisserie cooking
Evening entertaining that benefits from interior and exterior lighting
Buyers looking for stainless steel construction and substantial burner output
Outdoor spaces requiring a premium 32-inch built-in grill
When Another Grill May Be More Suitable
This model may not be the right choice for shoppers who need a compact tabletop appliance, an indoor grill, or a portable grill that can be moved frequently. Built-in installation also requires proper island construction, ventilation, fuel connections, clearances, and access to electrical power for the lighting system.

TRLPRO32L
Liquid Propane
Designed for a regulated liquid propane supply.
Confirm the correct fuel model before installation. Natural gas and liquid propane models use different gas pressure requirements, regulators, valves, and burner orifices.
Gas conversion components are addressed in the manufacturer manual, but conversion and gas installation should be completed only in accordance with the manual, local codes, and applicable professional requirements.
Gas Supply Requirements
Never connect an unregulated gas supply directly to the grill. A pressure regulator must be installed and the gas supply must match the fuel type shown on the product rating plate.

Fuel Type
Minimum Inlet Pressure
Maximum Inlet Pressure
Natural Gas
4.0 inches water column
7.0 inches water column
Liquid Propane
10.0 inches water column
14.0 inches water column
The manufacturer states that natural gas models must be installed with the supplied natural gas regulator set to 4.0 inches water column. Liquid propane installations require an LP regulator set to 11 inches water column.
Gas lines must be sized to support the total BTU demand of all connected gas appliances. Pipe length, fittings, elbows, and other gas equipment can affect available pressure and grill performance.
Built-In Installation Requirements
The TRL Pro 32 is designed for outdoor use only. It must not be operated inside a building, garage, shed, recreational vehicle, boat, or other enclosed area.
For built-in installation, the grill requires a properly constructed outdoor kitchen island or enclosure. The manufacturer recommends non-combustible construction, such as cement board installed over steel studs, together with ventilation that complies with the manual and local requirements.

Verify all dimensions against the current manufacturer manual before cutting cabinetry or constructing the outdoor kitchen island.
Enclosure Ventilation
The outdoor kitchen enclosure must provide a combined minimum ventilation free area of 40 square inches unless one side of the enclosure remains completely open to the outdoors.
Natural gas ventilation openings should be positioned near the top of the enclosure because natural gas rises.
Liquid propane ventilation openings should be positioned near the bottom because propane is heavier than air.
If the enclosure may be used with either fuel type, openings should be provided at both upper and lower levels.
Cross-ventilation on opposite sides of the enclosure is recommended where possible.
Ventilation openings must remain unobstructed.
Clearance From Non-Combustible Walls
Maintain at least 2 inches of clearance from the left, right, and rear of the grill to a non-combustible wall. A non-combustible backsplash must also preserve the ventilation space specified in the manual.
Clearance From Protected Combustible Walls
The grill requires at least 10 inches of clearance from the left, right, and rear to a protected combustible wall. This consists of the non-combustible barrier clearance plus the additional space described by the manufacturer.
Clearance From Combustible Walls
Maintain at least 14 inches of clearance from the left, right, and rear of the grill to an unprotected combustible wall.
Combustible Surrounds
When the grill is installed within a combustible surround, the manufacturer requires the use of a Summerset insulating jacket or grill liner.
Overhead Construction
A minimum clearance of 5 feet is required between the countertop and overhead construction. The grill must not be installed beneath unprotected combustible overhead construction.
When installed beneath overhead construction, the cooking area must be used with a properly sized exhaust hood. The manual states that the hood should be larger than the cooking area and use a blower rated for at least 1,000 CFM. Overhead construction and exhaust components must be non-combustible.
Level Installation
The grill must be level in every direction. An out-of-level installation can contribute to uneven heating and irregular burner combustion.
Professional Installation
Gas piping, regulators, shutoff valves, electrical connections, ventilation, and enclosure construction must comply with the manufacturer instructions and applicable local requirements. The manufacturer recommends qualified professionals for required gas plumbing.
Ignition and Operation
Flame-Thrower Ignition
The primary ignition system uses a flame-thrower style ignition mechanism. The hood must be fully open before lighting, the gas supply must be on, and only one burner should be ignited at a time during the initial lighting process.
Manual Flash-Tube Ignition
A manual flash-tube ignition option provides an alternative method when needed. Always follow the specific lighting procedure in the manufacturer manual and keep your face and body away from the open grill while lighting.
Attended Operation Only
The TRL Pro is classified by the manufacturer as an attended appliance. Never leave the grill burning while unattended.
Minimum Ambient Operating Temperature
The manual lists a minimum ambient operating temperature of 0°F (-17.8°C).
Rotisserie Cooking System
The TRL Pro 32 includes a rotisserie kit and a dedicated 15,000 BTU infrared rear burner. The system supports rotating foods such as poultry, roasts, and other larger cuts in front of concentrated radiant heat.
The rotisserie system includes the motor, mounting bracket, spit rod, forks, counterbalance, collar, hardware, and handle identified in the manufacturer manual.
A drip pan may be placed beneath the food to collect drippings and help retain moisture. Follow the manual for correct bracket placement, food balancing, spit installation, burner lighting, and operation.

Care and Maintenance
Initial Cleaning and Burn-In
Remove all protective plastic promptly after installation.
Clean the exterior stainless steel after installation.
Operate the main burners for approximately 10 minutes before first cooking to burn off production oils.
Allow the grill to cool before performing further cleaning or handling internal components.
After Each Use
Burn off remaining food debris before shutting the grill down.
Brush the cooking grates while they are still warm using suitable heat protection.
Turn all control knobs to the off position.
Close the gas-supply valve after use.
Allow the grill to cool completely before covering it.
Exterior Stainless Steel Care
Wash the exterior with warm water and mild soap, wiping in the direction of the stainless steel grain. Rinse completely and dry with a microfiber towel.
Do not allow salt, chlorine, pool chemicals, construction debris, lime dust, grease, or moisture to remain on the stainless steel. These contaminants may cause staining, corrosion, or surface pitting.
Interior Cleaning
The manufacturer recommends periodic interior cleaning, including cleaning the cooking grates, drip tray, burner covers, burners, interior walls, and grill basin.
Burner openings must remain clear. Inspect burner and venturi tubes for insects, nests, or debris because a blockage may contribute to unsafe combustion or fire beneath the grill.
Coastal and Poolside Installations
Salt air and airborne chlorine can affect stainless steel surfaces. Grills installed near the coast or swimming pools should be wiped down regularly, allowed to dry completely, and protected with an appropriate cover when not in use.
Do not cover the grill while it is damp. Trapped moisture may accelerate surface staining and corrosion.
Important Safety Information
For outdoor use only.
Never operate the grill in a garage, building, shed, boat, recreational vehicle, or enclosed area.
Open the hood before lighting any burner.
Never leave the grill unattended while operating.
Keep children and pets away from the grill during use and while surfaces remain hot.
Keep combustible materials, gasoline, and flammable vapors away from the grill.
Do not use water to extinguish a grease fire.
Keep an appropriate ABC fire extinguisher accessible.
Inspect liquid propane hoses before every use.
Never use a damaged, dented, or rusty propane cylinder.
Never connect the appliance to an unregulated gas supply.
Confirm burner ignition by directly observing the flame.
Follow all clearances and ventilation requirements in the manufacturer manual.
Read the complete manufacturer manual before installation, conversion, operation, cleaning, servicing, or troubleshooting.
Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty
The TRL Pro 32 is covered by the manufacturer's Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty, subject to the complete terms, exclusions, registration requirements, maintenance requirements, and claim procedures stated in the manufacturer manual.
The manual identifies lifetime coverage for specified gas-appliance construction and components, including stainless steel construction, cooking grates, burners, burner covers, valves, flame tamers, heat-zone separators, temperature gauges, hood springs, and briquette systems.
Other parts and electrical components, including LED components, wiring, switches, transformers, and interior-light components, are listed with three-year warranty coverage.
Warranty coverage applies to replacement parts and does not include labor or labor-related costs. Registration, proof of purchase, photo documentation, proper installation, proper use, and regular maintenance may be required.
Surface discoloration, oxidation, corrosion, environmental damage, improper installation, misuse, grease fires, overheating, and damage associated with inadequate maintenance may be excluded. Review the full warranty language in the manual before purchase or installation.
The manual contains safety warnings, installation requirements, gas specifications, operating instructions, enclosure ventilation guidance, cleaning procedures, line drawings, replacement parts, warranty information, and gas pipe-sizing references.

Great customer service for hard to get refractory brick back
I was able to get a Novus 33 in brick refractory back for my NG Novus fireplace insert. Novus is a high demand item and Flame authority was only supplier without a huge delay from manufacturer. I recommend them for all fireplace needs.
Product is great, free shipping was good, and unpacking and installing it was easy. Customer support was great too, both with the sales and shipping carrier. After much research…the Modern Flames Redstone is the one.
The mantel required a little bit of sanding and prep before painting, but was good quality. Flame Authority did an excellent job shipping and it arrived by freight in perfect condition.
The mantel assembled well. I ended up using some construction adhesive to glue the legs on to make it a little more sturdy. I cut pocket holes in the top to attach it to the wall.
I shopped for a grill for two people. I want it to last for ten years or more. I want it to get really hot for grilling steaks after they have been cooled sous vide. I want it to be useful also for lower temp cooking. This Blaze grill is perfect for me and my wife. Our purchase through Flame Authority was completed with no problems. I am totally satisfied with this grill and highly recommend it for anyone with similar needs.
I wanted to make sure of the size and features of this oven. I called Flame Authority and Mary answered the call. She gave me all the details and I was really amazed coz she really knows what she is selling. Expert with sales and communication. Thumbs Up!
I bought the stove couple weeks ago and ended up having a chance running it a few days I am very pleased with the outcome of the amount of heat it gets out also with the amount of hours it burns at least eight hours. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for hours of heat output. At first when I bought it I didn’t quite know if mine hopes will be for filled but now they are happy with it. I would recommend this to anyone as a trusted tester of it I am very pleased of the outcome it rains.!
Nice company to work with and an even better fireplace for our home
Nice , polite and helpful, when you would call with questions.Fireplace looks nice and throws a decent amount of heat , just a bit of a delay in delivery. Ended up getting it End of January, right before guests arrived. But still only took 3 weeks to get. Thank you Flame Authority !!!
I didn't expect to have this fireplace earlier than the lead time they promised. It looks stunning in my living room and now we are prepared for the upcoming winter season! I am happy with all the updates! Customer service representatives keep on updating me with the process of my order until delivery they are checking it for you! 10 stars for Flame Authority!
Simply beautifully designed. Very efficient. Looks gorgeous in our mid century modern home in a corner space. Will save us $$$ on electric heat bills and is easy to clean with fireplace glass cleaner.
I believe it was David Novak that helped me. Someone ALWAYS answered the phone and located this burner when I couldn't find it anywhere else. It almost seemed too good to be true. But it wasn't. The burner is now nestled in my new outdoor kitchen and am very pleased.
