Flame Authority

Beautiful Mantel

The mantel required a little bit of sanding and prep before painting, but was good quality. Flame Authority did an excellent job shipping and it arrived by freight in perfect condition.

The mantel assembled well. I ended up using some construction adhesive to glue the legs on to make it a little more sturdy. I cut pocket holes in the top to attach it to the wall.

Media room and it looks amazing

I was really impressed with how much thought has gone into this unit. From a design and functionality perspective, the fireplace is spot on. I installed it flush against a smooth concrete feature wall in our media room and it looks amazing — like something you’d see in a boutique hotel or showroom. The flame visuals are easily the most realistic I’ve seen on an electric fireplace. We installed it on 240V so we could get the full 8,500 BTU heat output, and it easily warms our 600 sq ft room. The Flame Connect app is surprisingly intuitive — I can dim the flame, switch colors, change the speed, and adjust heat all from my phone. Dimplex really nailed it with this model.

It is part of our decor now

Our family room has gone from bland to stunning thanks to this fireplace. The Dimplex was part of a larger built-in cabinetry and TV wall project. The way the flame fills the glass edge to edge is just mesmerizing. It has a subtle shimmer and movement that you do not get from cheaper models. The driftwood and glass media bed is gorgeous even when the unit’s off. We use the app daily and love setting different flame colors depending on the season.

Favorite feature in the house

We bought the fireplace for our second home a mountain cabin that did not have space for a traditional fireplace. It has totally transformed the space. Now, when we walk in on a cold winter day, we just hit the “heat boost” function and the room warms up in 10–15 minutes. The flames look better than a gas insert, and we did not need to run a gas line or deal with venting. The glass stays cool, the heat is even, and the entire unit feels solid and high quality. We mounted it flush with reclaimed wood planks and it looks like something out of a design magazine. It is our favorite feature in the house.

Heater is very quiet

We looked at a lot of electric fireplaces before settling on this one, and we have been thrilled with the choice. The Flame Connect app lets me turn the fireplace on from bed in the morning, which is great for warming the room up before we get up. The heater is very quiet, and the flame visuals are top notch, soft, realistic, and not overly bright. The install was simple and did not require any special venting or permits. If you are trying to find a modern electric fireplace that does more than just look nice, this is the one.
